Volvo: 1996 960 Fuel Type and Entry Remote, premium fuel, newer cars
QuestionI recently purchased a 1996 960 Volvo. The manual calls for premium fuel. Is premium fuel really a necessity or just for performance?
Also, the remote entry clicker does not work. I can hear it “chirp but the doors don’t lock or unlock. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Matt
Answercould be the battery on the clicker, the fuel: the premium fuel burns slower, newer cars have a knock sensor that can detect vibrations in the engine (pinging) , the computer can advance the timing for a few seconds if knocking occurs, if the manual says it i would do it, but try the medum grade see what happens ,
