Volvo: no spark, stage ignition, power stage

Question
Hi,I recently bought a 1989 780 turbo.brought the car home and the next morning it was running for about 10 minutes and died out.It would run for a few minutes and cut out.Me not being a mechanic by any strech figured it sounded like a fuel delivery problem,so i replaced the fuel filter,Still couldnt get it to turn over so i checked for spark and realized there wasnt any.I replaced the cap and rotor and had the coil tested to make sure that it was good.It tested fine and thats where my abilities end.Any help would be appriciated..Mike

Answer
Hello Mike! Try replacing the power stage (ignition module). It controls power to the coil. It would be located under the hood, mounted on the inside of the fender. Usually next to the battery. There could also be a problem in the distributor. Start there and let me know what happens.
