Driving & Driving Test Tips: Ticket, moving violation, state of ohio

Question
My husband came upon a police who had pulled over someone on the freeway.  The person had already left.  We looked to our left to move over a lane, but there were several cars blocking us in the right hand lane.  Five minutes down the road the police pulls us over.  He said we were required to move over a lane.  We explained it wasn't possible.  We did slow down, but he said we needed to slow to a stop if necessary.  That would be even more dangerous as the people behind would rear end us.  My husband was ticketed - not a moving violation.  We are in the State of Ohio.  Should be fight it in court?

Answer
You will have to either get a copy of the vehicle code or go on line to see if the Ohio vehicle code is online.  Read the statute for which you were ticketed and then evaluate it in regards to what happened to make a decision as to fighting the ticket or paying it.
