4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Alarm in Chevy Tahoe 04, chevy tahoe, navigation screen

Question
Hi! I am desperate for help. I just bought a Tahoe'04 fullly loaded, very nice. I've been driving it for 2 wks. & no problems until this morning. Lastnight when I locked it, I noticed a blue light flashing in my dash by the traction button and then there was a chirping noise, I guess that was the alarm. Well this is the first time since I've had the vehicle that i've heard the chirping noise so I figured that maybe it didn't even have a security sysem. Anyway, I never could get the flashing light to go off. This morning when i tried to crank it, I thought the battery was completely dead from that light. A friend came over to give me a jump. That didn't work. I can't figure it out........my headlights work, my navigation screen comes out and flips up as usual when the ignition is on, so it can't be my battery! Is there any way to disarm that alarm? I called Fuller Chevrolet and they said that it sounds like i have an aftermarket alarm. Do you have any suggestions?   Please help............I need to get to work. I was s'pose to be there at 6 A.M.

Answer
definatley an aftermarket alarm! Some have a chip that clips in under the dash abd if it is removed it disables the starter, othere disable the starter if it detects a threat. Either way it is the alarm not letting it start. it has the whole staring system disabled. Look under the dash and find a small box with a long plug on it not looking factory, follow the wires until you fing 2 fuses and pull them and see if it starts then
