4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: brakelights, gmc z71, brake light switch

I have a 97 GMC Z71. The center high mount brake light works, the hazards work, the left and right signals work but no rear brake lights. Fuses in the cab are good, is it my brakelight switch even though the center high mount still works?

It may not be the brake light switch since the center mount works.  I would get a test light, and start tracing out the wiring.  You could have a bad ground going to the standard brake lights, or two bad bulbs.  This isn't normally the case, but possible.
