Suzuki: 2000 Suzuki Vitara, 2000 suzuki vitara, clutch pedal

Question
I have a 2000 Suzuki Vitara.  While running, and in neutral... when you let the clutch out, it makes a roaring noise. Sounds like the throw-out bearing making noise.  How well are these bearings designed & how long could it last before being replaced... if this is the problem?

Answer
Usually, the throwout bearing makes noise when the clutch pedal is depressed.
I would have a local technician (you can use the shopfinder at iatn dot net if you need to find one)look at your problem - I suspect a noisy transmission bearing.  If the trans lubricant is low, a bearing might not have gotten sufficient lube and worn unusually fast.
