Suzuki: Power steering fluid constantly leaking, power steering fluid leak, vitara jlx

Question
Hi, i have a Vitara JLX 3 door [Aussie version] 1.6 L carby model. It has a bad power steering fluid leak and i can't find the problem . As soon as you fill it up, it tends to leak out under the bumper where the lines run under the radiator. Is this a common problem? is there a rubber hose that joins the metals hoses that may have perished? could there be a split in the system somewhere at the front? It emptys out in about 3 hours and the steering becomes real hard to turn. All the underside of the vehicle is splashed with PS fluid. I just bought the vehicle yesterday. I haven't taken out the radiator yet, but i'm thinking i'd get to see it better if there is a split. Any idea's would be welcome, cheers George.

Answer
The best I can suggest is to crawl underneath while it's running, get dirty and oily, and see if you can visually find the leak.  I have never as much as ridden in a vitara, and went to the heavy duty fleet part of mechanical repair prior to the introduction of vitara, so I have no direct experience with that vehicle to draw upon.  Now if it were a samurai........
