Tips on Buying Cars: 2001 RENAULT MEGANE 1.9DTI 80 EXPRESSION, renault megane, economical car

I am thinking about buying this car, it has 80,000 miles on the clock, a 51 plate, 1 years MOT and theasking price is £2,000. I am looking to get an economical car and have been advised to get a diesel. Does this car seem ok?
