Tips on Buying Cars: Mazda question..., toyota camrys, honda accords

Question
I'm going to be buying a car soon.  I want to buy one about two years old, hopefully with around 25,000 miles or so.  I'm considering Honda Accords, Toyota Camrys, and Mazda 626's (I understand it's now called just the "Mazda 6".)
I know that the Accord and Camry have reputations for reliability and dependability...good workmanship, etc.  But what about the Mazda?  I notice that Mazda 626's tend to be a little less expensive than Accords or Camrys, and wondered if it's because they're not as reliable.
Whatever you can tell me about the Mazda 626 in comparison to Accords and Camrys I'd be grateful for.
Warm regards, and Happy Holidays!

Answer
Hi david
I really like your Q...and note your all imports...I been selling used cars for over 25 years... would i buy a Honda or Toyota...NO...in todays market to me it would be like buying designer jeans with a label when other products are just as good at much less the price...

If i really was to buy import my first choice would be mitsubishi...not a label name yet but the drive same as Honda Accord and a great warranty...build the same...suspension same...why pay for the logo ?

As for the Mazda 626...
Its a proven vehicle and less money than the Honda and Camry...between the 3...if it comes down to money and not looks or handling i would go Mazda...

If i was to go domestic my first choice would be Buick...these cars are now made to last a very long time...
i will admit in the early 90's imports would outlast domestic...but this is 2004 and domestic have caught up to imports...its your money therefore buy transportation from what you read or discover where to put your money...

David...my expertise is not really telling you what car to buy...but to make sure you get fair value for your bucks when you found a car you really like...private or dealer...i will put you throug the steps you getting value for your money...
now get back to me when you found a car you considering buying...and give me details on that car
Now you have real happy holidays
