Tips on Buying Cars: Dealer or independent garage for service?, honda repair, saturn sl 2

Hello: I live in Canada,and I have a 2010 EX-L Civic (bought new in late 2009) and have always used the dealer (who is inconveniently located just outside city limits) for routine maintenance. I would like to get the work done at a garage that is walking distance from my office.I took my previous car (a 1996 Saturn SL-2 bought new) there for years,and got excellent service at a reasonable price.
Would my Honda warranty be affected in any way if I switched back to my old garage? Thanks!

The short answer is no. The only thing you can't get done at your independant garage would be warranty work which must be done only at a Honda Repair facility
