QuestionI'm going to buy a car in a few weeks, hopefully, I'm looking at used cars but I only have about $5000.00 that i can really put towards a car. I want something reliable, but I also want some style! note: I also have 3 kids. I've always wanted something with a sunroof and leather seats. I was looking at Volvo s80, Volkswagon Passat,Hyundai XG350, Lincoln ls, and Mitsubishi Galant/Diamante. They all have miles from 90,000 to 120,000. The last car I bought WAS a lemon! So my question is, which of these do you think is best for me?
AnswerHello Tiffany, When buying a used car with higher mileage, always take it to a mechanic for an independent inspection, they can give you a break down of the car and what might be needed to be done soon. Your cars of choice are all good cars, the only thing you have to look at is cost for repairs, Your Volvo and VW are going to be the highest. As far as an order I would put the Hyundai at first. I don't know what years your looking at but you can put that info into edmunds.com and see what other people are saying about them (reliability, cost to own, etc...)Hope this helps.
