Tips on Buying Cars: Buying a Chrysler, happy new year, little trouble

Question
QUESTION: I found the Chrysler I want on Autotrader. The V-6 Sebring Convertible has 17,000 miles. The price is 20,800. I have heard stories about Chrysler. Does the car have a record for lasting up to 70,000 miles with little trouble? The car is in Minnesota, do you think they would settle for 18,000 cash over the Internet? should I have the car shipped or fly up and pick it up. What other problems may arise from buying a car out of state. Worried in Oklahoma. Thank you for your help.

ANSWER: Hey Caesar, Season Greeting to you.

You are right about Chrysler stories, however Caesar, it would be nice to know the year of the vehicle you are talking about ???

QUESTION: Thank you for the link. I spent the last hour reading over the information at usedcartips.org. The year of the car was a 2008. Can you address the questions of Internet purchasing, shipping vs pickup, and any other issues the website may not have covered.

Answer
Hi Ceasar

Happy New Year, sorry for a delayed answer due to the holidays.

Yes I can address the Q of Internet purchasing, my short answer is I would never buy a used car through eBay or private unless I could kick tires prior to purchase.

As for shipping vs pick up, it's a simple process, is there a link where I can view this vehicle before I make further comments ???, if you reply check the make private box.
