Tips on Buying Cars: exporting a car, export cars, path of resistance

QUESTION: Hi, sorry if this question has come up before, but I don't seem to be able to find any info on EXporting a car from DK. And since I do not speak the lingo, skat.dk is of no help to me easer.
My q. is what procedures will i have to go through if I wanted to come to DK (I hold a UK passport), buy a car and take it out of the state.
I contacted a few dealers and all of them replied that they do not export cars. From this I gather that the whole procedure of exporting must be done by a dealer and he must have some permits to do that. Is this correct?
Can I just buy a car myself and somehow apply for the export papers to be done through a certain office or so?

ANSWER: Iren:You might check a shipping company that ships cars for export.My dealer will not export cars also.It is the responsibly of the buyer to handle the shipping.Also is it cost effective to do this?If not,buy a new car.Good luck!

Thank you for your prompt reply. Shipping is not a problem for me at all. I would just buy a 2nd hand car and drive it over to the UK.
So if the reason dealers dont export cars is that they do not want to engage in the process of shipping them out - then this doesn't represent a problem for me.
But my impression is that a foreigner is not allowed to just come to DK, buy a car from a dealer (just in the way that a DK resident would do)and take it out of the country.
If I am mistaken, and this is not the case, then how do I go about arranging all paper work that is involved in exporting a car out of DK?
In other words, I want to buy a car in DK and to do all export papers myself. Is this possible/doable by the law of DK?
Can I do it myself without the help/involvement of a dealer?

Iren:It seems the least path of resistance would be to buy a 2nd hand car,in the UK than to ship it.Since I live the USA,my customers find easier to purchase a car in the state they will live.Unless the cost is better to ship the car.Or,the car you want to buy is unique.And I believe that YOU can do this without any help /involement.Since I don't know the laws in Europe,these are guesses.Good luck!
