Tips on Buying Cars: used car, customer satisfaction rules, valid investment

Question
I test drove a car, it seemed ok...purchased it, dealer put "kill switch" in and said they did some work on it so it wouldn't heat up.  Next day, I took car to store, it heated up.  I think they did something wrong.  I'm taking car back to garage and I am hoping they make things right. But what if they don't, do I have any legal rights to cancel the purchase?

Answer
Hi Paul

By the time you read this I assume and hope satisfaction has been accomplished ???

As for your legal rights, did you buy this vehicle AS IS ?,,, if you did, then there is no recource, as for the dealer fixing the problem, it all comes down to customer satisfaction on the dealers part, and I hope you been dealing with a dealership where customer satisfaction rules before profit.

I have got no clue what you purchased or from what state or what agreement on contract, I can therefore only give you the short answer, most consumers buy a used car today not having had the time to follow the proper process in order to secure a valid investment, and I will say had you had the opportunity to study my website prior to purchase I am sure this problem will not have occurred, as an example when you test drove the car, how many of my steps did you follow on this link on my website ?      http://www.usedcartips.org/TESTDRI.html
