wanna buy a car thats god on gas and  small compact realy small but strong and  good repair record easy to get aprts etc   chi model, need good handling and parkablility  and large trunk preferably lockable  or bakck and back seat
whats the best way of buying a   car year 2000 + but dont ahve  enuf $ for  too late models
live in nyc  and need to know which  seller si best to buy from , used car dealer and which one , how to bargain , if i can get trade in val on my high mileage  98 beat up bucik regal ls with a leaking  radiator adn  power steering (slow leaks),  pprivate etc  craigs  etc
and whatever advice u can give me

Thanks for your question.  You have a ton of questions in this little e-mail, so I will try to work through all of them.  First, it is always better to buy from a dealer rather than private party because you have more leverage from a dealership and they have more legal responsibility.  Second, leverage your buying power with the amount of cash you have to put down, that will help you get a better deal.  As far as which vehicle to buy or which model, try to stay with a Toyota, Honda, Nissan type of product.  They have better reliability and better resale value over the long run.  I do not recommend buying a vehicle online from craigs list, or any type Internet website or private party.  You have more exposure that way.
