Im looking for the new lancer but it is a used car
the price is 15,988 and with 15,700 miles.
and I used the car-fax, it told me the car was been rented for 9 months.
How do you think I can negotiate with the salesman
and how much i can get approxmimately

I would start about $13K and walk away beyond $14.5K, if they let me walk I can always call back to up the ante a few hundred.

I consider former rental vehicle's current or no more than 1 model year old excellent value buying used as you will have the benefit of balance of full warranty from Mfg.
