Tires: 14 inch tire radial, radial tire, inch tire

i have a puncture just off side of the tread wall. could i patch this and then put a tube in the tire and be safe at highway speeds?

Porter,

The repairable around of a radial tire is the tread excluding the outermost ribs.  This means that the edges of the tread - where the belt endings are - and the sidewall - where the movement is pretty severe - are not repairable with a patch.

Tubes?  The problem with tubes is that they do not fix the structural problem caused by the puncture and are not recommended.

Sorry, but it looks like you will have to replace the tire.
