Tires: Tires, replacement tires, studded tires

My daughter has a 2008 Honda Accord with P235/45R/18 tires on it. She is looking at some P255/55R/18 studded tires for use during the winter. Will they fit and work properly?

Let's compare the overall diameter of these two sizes:
P235/45R18 = 26.34"
P255/55R18 = 29.25" (winter tire)
The P255 size is MUCH too large to consider and is significantly outside of the generally acceptable diameter difference for replacement tires.
