Tires: 1998 chevy camaro-standard v6 engine tires, chevy camaro, tire guides

Question
Thank you for taking the time to answer questions-i have tried chevy without any input-i need to purchase new tires and currently have 235 55 16 and want to keep that size-there is some type of speed rating on door which tells how long a tire should last but had to have the door replaced and no sticker-would like to buy the best tire that can handle snow and wet weather-it doesn't have to last forever but just want it to handle well and am having difficulty finding 1 in that size range-any info would be helpful-thanks

Answer
Ed,

According to Tire Guides, a publication that summarizes vehicle tire placards for US sold vehicles, a 1998 Chevy Camaro came with a number of different tire sizes, and one of them was P235/55R16 96T.

Frankly, I've advocated the use of H rated tires for a number of years, based on experiences in dealing with the fall out of the Ford/Firestone situation a few years back.  I note that Tire rack lists 4 tires in that size and 3 of them are H rated.
