Tires: trailer tire size on different axles, inflation pressure, trailer tires

Question
Is there a problem with mixing different load range trailer tires on twin axles?  Specifically, I want to put load range E tires at 80psi on one axle and load range D tires at 65psi on the second axle.  Why?  I obtained several load range E tires and plan to eventually have all tires be E, but hate to get rid of several load range D tires before they are worn.
It appears to me that the same amount of weight is put onto each axle and that (assuming the trailer is not overloaded, which it is way below the gross weight limit) that the load range rating of the tires should not be an issue unless the difference of inflation is a problem, but I do not see how.  The circumference of each of the tires is the same regardless of load range rating.

Thanks for your answer.

Answer
Bob,

No there is no problem.  But you need to use the same inflation pressure to even out the load. If you don't, the load will be unevenly divided between the tires and the stiffer tire (the one with the higher inflation pressure) will carry more of the load and unfortunately, this is not proportional to the load carrying characteristics.
