Tires: reducing a tire size, ford f 150, size tire

Question
I have recently acquired a 1990 Ford F-150.  The tires that are on it are 33X12.5X15.  The truck has been lifted but the tires are to wide.  The tires actually hit the frame when I turn the wheel fully.  What size tire could I use that will fit the current rim but still be large enough to take up the space?  Would the rim hold a 10.5 inch tire?  Is there a normal size tire I could use like a 275?

Answer
Jason,

You didn't tell me how wide your current rim is, and that determines what tire size can go on it.  Sometimes the rim is marked, but it might be in code.  Look for something that says:  15 X 7JJ, or some variation of that.

But I can tell you that you will have a problem with the tire taking up the space and not hitting the frame.  This is solved with wheel offset, and that means new wheels.
