Tires: Load rating, gmc motorhome, placard

I have a 1985 GMC motorhome with load rating 'D' tires - but am having trouble finding them - 8.75*16.5 - I can find them in a load rating 'E' - will this work - can I still rotate them with the other two tires - I'm replacing the back four.
Should I put both the similiar rated tires on one side?  - I'd like to move the brand new tires to the front.

Load Range E tires will work in place of Load Range D using the pressures as specified on your vehicle placard.

If you are going to replace the 4 rear ones, then it's best to replace all 6, but second best would be to have the same tires on an axle, rather than the same side.  Unfortunately, rotation is going to be a problem.
