Used Cars: 1993 Cadillac DeVille, egr valve, cadillac deville

Question
I badly need a car that will be reliable and have a reasonable life span.  I am considering a 1993 Cadillac Deville with 98,000 miles.  Body and interior are in great shape.  The only disclosed issue is the need for a new EGR valve (which the seller has, but needs to be installed).  He wants $2,000.  Is this a fair price?  And, what would this car's expected life span be--How many miles can you put on a DeVille?

Answer
Hello Philip,

The Cadillac is a good brand buy Very expensive to maintain! The history on most caddi's are electronic issues, the motors are decent, and will last a long time but you will be spending a decent amount on electrical repairs. (ie: sensors most will effect the drive of the vehicle)
