Trucking: whats the difference?, freight broker training, frieght broker

hey jim,
 my husband has been driving trucks for the better part of 33 yrs.thats where his heart as far as working is.recently he bought a truck and went on the road under his own authority.i have picked up trying to do paper work etc for him. he wants me to become a frieght broker to maybe get him better paying loads,etc. whats the difference in frieght,truck,load,shipper brokers? and whats the best way to get training. i really know VERY little about the transportation industry.

Jean, there are many options for training but I can't vouch for any of them.  You will need to check them out and see who you think offers the best valuer for the money.  My guess is that you will learn something of use from most of them.  Just Google "freight broker training" and you will have plant to look at.  Check out these sites: http://www.freightbrokertraining101.com/
