Trucking: New in Car Hauling, dodge ram 3500, local used car dealers

Hi! I'm really new in the car hauling business herre in Florida. I do have a Dodge Ram 3500 and an open 2 car hauling trailer I did decide to start this way for security reasons and avoid the CDL issues. I just have 2 principal questions a) Do I still need a DOT# or MCC# even when I'm not planing to leave Florida? b) What ar the best online leads providers for small car transporters like me? everything that I found so far is for the Big Rigs.

Hi Quest.

You will need a Florida DOT number, but not MC.  Online is hard because it is for full truckloads.  I would stop by local auto auction houses and drop off a business card.  Also, hit up local used car dealers.  This is where you'll really find the business.
