Trucking: Camper hauling, fold down campers, trucking regulations

Question

I have an opportunity to deliver fold-down campers.

I can single tow or buy truck to haul 2 at a time.

Would you suggest a long trailer with 1 ton pickup,or roll-back type?

What trucking regulations will I have to abide by?

Hi Mike,

Since your hauling commercially, you have to have a DOT number on your truck.  Contact your state's Department of Transportation for all of the exacts.

I would go with the 1 ton and trailer.  It gives you a lot of flexibility for loads on the backhaul.
