Vintage Cars: packard sedan, motor vehicle registration, registration purposes

Question
have vin 438-324 like too know what model series this is Thank you

Answer
Not enough numbers , what year car ,and where did you find number?
There should be two, the "patent plate" on the cowl, driver side, would be the plate with the true vehicle number as assigned by Packard. A small plate, painted over, near the heater box, would have a similar (occasionally the same) number but that's the number assigned by Briggs when the body was constructed but was not meant to be the VN for motor vehicle registration purposes.
