Vintage Cars: Mercedes starting problem, air fuel mixture, mercedes 380se

Question
Hi Ron,
I have a 1980 Mercedes 380se (euro gray market) with a Bosch K-tronic fuel injection system. The problem is that it will not idle, it starts and runs for a second or two and then stalls. Although not new, the fuel injectors have been tested for leaks and spray pattern and seem ok. I have replaced the fuel injector holders and "O" rings, most of the air breather hoses and connections to assure that there are no vacumm leaks. I have cleaned the warm up regulator and replaced the fuel distributor diaphram, measured and set the warm(49psi),cold(30psi@75deg F), system (75psi) and rest pressure(41psi) values to spec. The fuel pump, check valve, filter and accumulator have been replaced as well. The plugs, ignition wires, cap, rotor, ecu are new. Timing is set a 10 degrees BTC. Ballast resistors are ok. I have been at this for months now and because it is a gray market model I cannot find a proper shop manual for it. The induction system more resembles a 1979 450 se than the 84, 85 models brought into the US. The idle speed can be adjusted manually and no amount of increased air seems to help.
Any help will be appreciated.

Answer
so it starts , but does not continue to run , no idle?

if the warm control pressure is too high  the air fuel mixture will be too lean resulting in stall after start. Also if the system pressure is too high  or too low  this will also result in too lean situation.
your cold pressure at 75 degrees should be 32, warm 49-55, system 75-84, reset 41
Your settings are close but I am wondering if they fluctuate up or down when she starts,, they are on the low side of normal
have you cleaned the pressure regulator?
your timing should be closer to 5 degrees BTDC
have your valves been adjusted?
is your throtle plate freely moving ?
you are getting fuel to the rails once started?

we can figure this out
