Vintage Cars: MGTC voltage regulator, wilton new hampshire, complete wiring

Question
I would like to put a solid state voltage regulator in place of the mechanical one (RF95/2).  Are there any schematics around to do this?

Thanks
Mike

Answer
I can only half-answer this. I'm not familiar with the solid-state replacements and can't find any listed on Google. I assume that the one on the car is the standard 9-post, and I would hope that any replacement would match. But I don't know how you might convert it to the later 5-post if you were thinking of that. For actual TC wiring diagrams, try

or find a manual (there's an original one on ebay right now, cheap, or people like Moss also sell manuals: Moss's manual is part 210-500, but expensive). Manuals will have complete wiring diagrams.

An alternative to a new unit is converting your existing one. I don't know where you are globally, but Robert Jeffers of Wilton Auto Electric, Wilton, New Hampshire, US used to offer conversion of regulators to solid state. Phone 1-603-654-9852. Perhaps he still does.
