thinking about oil cooler formy BJ8. is this wise?

If you drive fair distances, especially in hot weather, I would put one in, yes. If mostly short distances or cooler weather, don't bother.   Moss and others have various sizes. Unless you're racing or doing lots of hi-speed miles, a small one would do, 10 or 13 row, and it will fit easier. Note, however, that Moss says that some spin-on filter adapters will not work with the cooler's connection kit. I would check with Moss on the phone about your BJ8 filter arrangement before ordering. JJ
