How to Find Cars at Auctions in Indianapolis, Indiana

Looking for a car in Indianapolis but don't have a lot of money to spend. Have you thought about going to a car auction? Indianapolis has several car auctions locations. You can get a car for an incredibly low price at a car auction. Updated February 24, 2011

  • Unclaimed vehicles are put up for auction 15 days after the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) has placed them on its Abandoned Vehicle Lot.

    Auction time: Every Thursday at the Lot
    Public viewing: Begins starts every Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
    Auto Auction start time: 12:00 noon
    Minimum Standing bid: $50.00 on each vehicle

  • Not only can you shop at Goodwill for clothes, shoes and books, but you can also buy cars at the Goodwill Auto Auctions. The cars are sold as is and you cannot test drive them.

  • Call or visit Auto Dealers Exchange online. The have some repossessed and off lease vehicles at their auctions. Some cars are under 10,000 miles. You can participate in their online auctions also.

  • Visit Indianapolis Car Exchange. They have Repo Sales every Friday at 10am.

  • Visit or contact the Marion County Auction for car sales. They have been in business since 1910.
