To unlock the doors on a Chrysler 300, use the remote. This "key fob," programmed at the dealership, contains a Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter. Access to the car is much more convenient with this system because it eliminates the fuss of finding the correct key or fumbling in the dark trying to insert a key into a lock cylinder. Essentially, all you have to do with the Chrysler 300 is press one button on the remote.
Stand no farther than about 20 feet away from the Chrysler 300, holding the key fob in your hand. Note: Key fobs for newer Chrysler models can transmit from greater distances than this--up to about 65 feet as of 2010.
Press and release the "Unlock" button once on your key fob. The driver's door will unlock and the turn signal lights will flash twice as an acknowledgment.
Press and release "Unlock" another time within five seconds to unlock all the doors of the car.
