Outdoor RV mats help to hold some of the debris that people carry on their shoes, as they move in and out of the vehicle and around the campground. The mats also act as a barrier between you and the mud, especially after it has rained.

An RV patio mat makes a campsite look much tidier. It provides a decent surface for placing seats and tables, and if you have small children, it makes a better crawling surface than grass.

RV Patio Mats These mats are also made of campground-friendly material which does not kill the grass. This means that while the grass will be flattened under your mat, you will not be leaving 9-ft yellow patches of dead grass everywhere you go camping.

Sure, you can buy a cheap outdoor rug for your RV, but understand that this is not the same as an outdoor RV mat. The rug will get and stay wet the longer you keep it outside. Securing your outdoor RV Mat

To ensure that you don’t have to carry a dirty heavily-soaked mat back into your RV for storage, because the wind started blowing and it rained, insert a few tent stakes into the mat. Some mats have grommets for this purpose.

The grommets can be made from either brass or plastic. Brass will rust inevitably, and this rust will eat not only into the mat, but also into the grommet. Nylon loops at the corner of the mat are the best way to secure your mat. Nylon does not rust.

RV mats for outside are available in all RV accessories supply stores.
