Long-Term Road Test Update

As our reigning champion in the “sub-$40K sports-car” class, the 370Z was a shoo-in for a long-term test. This one entered our fleet in Touring guise in April. We like the slick, SynchroRev Match transmission feature (part of the $3000 Sport package), as well as the balanced handling and straight-line thrust. But the seats are tight for some (the herniated-disc sufferer on staff avoids it), and stingy cargo capacity has drawn complaints. The $1850 navigation system needs to entice staffers looking to embark on a long, exploratory journey; otherwise, we are in store for an overly long long-term test.
