How to Install Quarter Panel Glass on a Chevy S10 Blazer

Most Chevrolet S10 Blazers come equipped with quarter panel glass on their rear doors. If the quarter panel glass breaks or needs to be replaced, remove the inner panel from the rear door to access and remove the glass. Removing the inner panel requires you to take off the retaining clips with a Phillips screwdriver. Once the inner panel is removed, you can easily replace the glass on the S10.

Things You'll Need

  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Socket wrench
  • Open the rear door and remove the 10 metal clips securing the interior panel to the door with a flathead screwdriver.

  • Lift off the interior panel and use a socket wrench to unfasten the four bolts securing the quarter panel glass.

  • Lift out the glass and replace it with new glass. Reinstall the four bolts, but do not tighten them completely to avoid damaging the glass. Tighten them so that the glass does not move around, but do not crack the glass.

  • Reattach the interior panel and the clips. Close the door.
