How do I Replace a Dash Light in a Mercury Grand Marquis?

Replacing the dash lights on a Mercury Grand Marquis involves removing the dash board to access the cluster panel. There are several lights on the cluster panel that perform a variety of functions. In order to access the lights, you will need a flat-head screwdriver and a socket wrench as there are several bolts to remove in order to take off the dash board.

  • Uninstall the four bolts located on each side of the steering wheel and the two bolts securing the instrument panel to the Grand Marquis using a socket wrench.

  • Pull the instrument panel out of the vehicle, making sure to unclip the electric connector at the rear of the panel.

  • Pull out any of the old bulbs from the instrument panel and replace them with new bulbs.
