There is no need to take your Tiburon to a mechanic to replace the headlights, as the they are easily accessible through the engine compartment and require no major parts to be removed. The job can be done in minutes.
Turn off the car.
Disconnect the power cable from the back of the headlight assembly.
Unscrew the bulb cover on the back of the headlight by turning it counterclockwise, and remove it.
Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the bulb by pulling it straight out from the bulb.
Press in on the metal bulb retaining spring to pop it loose, and move it out of the way. Slide the old bulb out of the socket.
Slide a new bulb into the socket. Do not touch the glass of the bulb. Grip the bulb by its plastic base. Snap the retaining clip back into place.
Plug the electrical connector into the end of the new bulb. Replace the bulb cover and plug the power cord into the back of the headlight assembly.
