The headlight assembly on a Lexus ES330 should be replaced if the outer lens seal fails and separates from the main housing. Moisture will enter the housing assembly and can cause a catastrophic failure of the headlight or an electrical short--or both. Replacement headlight-housing assemblies can be purchased from most auto parts stores or directly from Lexus. The Toyota/Lexus factory original replacement headlights may have a better fit and finish than some aftermarket headlight housing assemblies.
Unbolt the 10mm bolt that secures each headlight assembly in place with a socket wrench and pull the center grille off your Lexus ES330 with your hands.
Unscrew the screw that holds the corner light to the headlight housing using a screwdriver.
Remove the corner headlight housing assembly.
Unbolt the 10mm bolts that hold the headlight assembly to the frame using a socket wrench.
Pull the headlight housing forward and out of the chassis.
Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the headlight ballast and slide the housing the rest of the way off the chassis.
