How to Remove the Windshield Wiper Switch From a Ford

The windshield wiper switch in your Ford vehicle should last the life of your vehicle. However, an electrical short can cause the switch to fail. If this happens, you'll need to replace it. While you can replace the switch using an aftermarket unit available from most auto parts stores, the best fitment will likely come from a Ford factory replacement wiper switch. You'll need to contact your Ford dealership with the model and year of your Ford to get the correct switch type.
