How to Fix a Subaru Car Antenna

An antenna is one of the weakest parts of a car's body. Nevertheless, if you wish to listen to the radio while you're cruising down the road in a Subaru, and haven't subscribed to satellite radio yet, you must have an antenna. That's why it is annoying whenever your antenna breaks or gets stolen. The good news is that an antenna is also one of the easiest parts of your car to fix. All you have to do is go to an auto shop, buy a new one, and your Subaru will have music again.

Things You'll Need

  • Antenna
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Access the part of the broken antenna inside the car's body by pulling off the trim beside the antenna.

  • Use an adjustable wrench to remove the two nuts holding the antenna in place. Remove the nut on the inside of the car body before removing the nut that is outside of the car body.

  • Unplug all the wires from the broken antenna and remove the broken antenna from the Subaru.

  • Set up the new antenna where the broken one was and plug in all the wires that were unplugged.

  • Screw on the two nuts in order to fasten the new antenna and realign the trim inside the car's body that was removed in order to work on the antenna.
