As reliable as a Honda Prelude is, you have to regularly maintain it to keep it in shape. One of the most simple and easy maintenance procedures is to replace your turn signal lights. These instructions don't apply to models made before 1997.
Turn the engine off, remove the keys from the ignition and switch the headlights off.
Locate the turn signal assembly mounting screw inside the lower part of the grille. Remove the screw using a Phillips screwdriver.
Draw the assembly away from the bumper. Be careful not to scratch your Prelude's exterior paint.
Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and remove it from the assembly.
Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket and dispose of it immediately.
Hold the new bulb by its plastic base and install it in the socket. Twist the socket back into the turn signal assembly.
Slide the assembly into the bumper, and then turn on the engine. Test the new bulb to make sure it works before screwing the assembly into position.
