Axle Shaft Removal Tools

The axle is the central connection for a rotating wheel. Axle shafts sometimes help bear the weight of the vehicle, but for vehicles with independent suspension they only transfer the driving torque to the wheels from the engine. Axle shafts are normally removed by using a sledge or air hammer on the axle flange.
