Many Ford vehicles are equipped with remote systems. These systems allow you to control your car alarm, your door locks, your trunk and your automatic starter, if you have one equipped. You can program your remote in just seconds from within your car, and you will have the remote ready to use right away. This sequence can also be done for reprogramming whenever necessary.
Enter your car with your remote and insert the key into the car's ignition.
Turn the ignition key to "On" and then back to "Off" eight times in ten seconds.
Wait for the locks to click after the eighth cycle, and then press and hold the Lock and Unlock buttons on your remote within 30 seconds.
Hold both until the locks cycle again and then release. This may take as long as 20 seconds, and once you release the coding will be completed and you can remove the ignition key.
