You can program up to four keyless entry remotes for you 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. If you've purchased additional remotes from the dealership, it can program the remotes for you. However, you can save money by purchasing aftermarket remotes and programming them yourself.
Sit in the driver's seat and close the door. Make sure all doors are shut.
Put the key in the ignition.
Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the driver's side door until step 6.
Turn the key to the "On" position---the last position before starting the engine---and back to the "Off" position.
Repeat step 4.
Release the "Unlock" button. The door locks will start to cycle to alert you the programming mode has begun. If the locks do not cycle, get out of the car and begin again from step 1.
Press and hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on the keyless fob until the car door's lock and unlock.
Repeat step 7 to program additional remotes.
Turn the key in the ignition back to the "On" position. This will turn off the programming mode.
