How to Remove an Avalon Glove Box

The Toyota Avalon is marketed as a luxury sedan by the Japanese automaker. The Avalon comes with in-dash heat and air conditioning controls, dome lights, 4- or 6-cylinder engine options, and options for satellite, CD or AM-FM radios. The Avalon features a glove box in the dash panel. You need to remove the glove box to install radio accessories or to access the dash panel fixtures. The glove box is secured to the dash with three screws and two cables.

Things You'll Need

  • Flat-head screwdriver
  • Open your Avalon's glove box and remove the contents. Locate the three screws along the bottom panel of the interior box.

  • Detach the three screws from the glove box panel. Pull the two cables off the glove box, found at the sides of the compartment.

  • Pull the glove box out of the dash.
