How to Remove Seats in 350Z

Removing the seats in a Nissan 350Z is very straightforward. There are only two seats to remove, as the car does not have back seats. The seats can be unbolted quickly and removed to be repaired or to have replacement seats installed. New seats can be purchased online or ordered through any auto parts store that specializes in aftermarket items for the 350Z.

Things You'll Need

  • Socket wrench
  • Socket set
  • Open the driver's door for easier access to the seats. Slide the driver's seat all the way to the front.

  • Locate the two rear bolts at the end of the seat rails. There is one on each side.

  • Unscrew the two bolts with a socket wrench. Place the bolts in a safe place so they can be used for installing the seats.

  • Slide the seat all the way to the back. Unbolt the two bolts at the front of the seat rails with a socket wrench. Place these bolts with the bolts from the back of the seat.

  • Tilt the seat forward so the headrest is against the steering wheel. Disconnect the wiring harness below the seat.

  • Pull the seat out of the car and place in a dry, covered area. Repeat these steps to remove the passenger's seat.
