With Italian design and styling, the Fiat Punto is a compact and classy hatchback with five doors. Over time, the rear lights will burn out, and they will need to be removed and replaced with new ones. If you're modifying your Punto, the rear lights can also be replaced with aftermarket light bulbs to enhance its visibility and add resale value to the car.
Park your Punto on a firm, paved surface and open the rear hatch lid.
Pull off the plastic caps found inside the Punto on the trim panel behind the rear lights. You will see two bolts.
Remove the bolts with a socket wrench turned in a counterclockwise motion.
Pull back both small carpet flaps at either side of the interior in the Punto's trunk. You will see two bolts.
Remove the bolts with the socket wrench turned in a counterclockwise motion then detach the wiring connectors.
Pull out the rear light assemblies from your Punto.
Remove the screws that hold the bulbs to the rear light assemblies with a screwdriver turned in a counterclockwise motion.
Pull out the rear light bulbs from the light assemblies and slide in new bulbs.
Reattach the screws to the rear light assemblies and remount them onto the Punto. Reattach the wiring connectors and bolts from the carpet flaps and plastic caps, then replace the small carpet flaps and plastic caps on top of the bolts, and close your Punto's rear hatch lid.
