How to Remove Wiper Arms on a Jeep Wrangler

Replacing windshield wiper blades on a Jeep Wrangler is necessary for continued good visibility when driving. Cleaning them helps, temporarily. But at some point, wear and tear will necessitate that you replace the wipers. It involves removing the wiper arms from the vehicle. Avoid costly repair bills by mechanics and replace the blades yourself.

Things You'll Need

  • Small nail or a similar object

Removing the wiper arm

  • Pull the wiper arm away from the windshield until the spring locks it away from the glass. This may require a firm pull, but do not worry, it will not break.

  • Slide a nail or similar object in a small hole, near the base of the arm.

  • Wiggle the wiper arm off from where it is attached. This may be difficult if the spring is rusted slightly, so use some oil to loosen it.

  • Reverse the above steps to replace the wiper arm.
