How to Reset the Service Engine Indicator on a 2007 Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 is a crossover sport-utility vehicle that is designed with a luxurious interior with a seating capacity of seven. The service engine indicator on the dashboard illuminates when there is a problem with the engine. You'll need a VAG service and air bag reset tool to reset it. It can be found at most auto parts stores.

Things You'll Need

  • VAG service and air bag reset tool
  • Turn off the ignition.

  • Place the reset tool into the diagnostic system, found near the Audi's hood release latch.

  • Press the reset tool's "Select" button.

  • Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.

  • Press the "Enter" button on the tool and wait 10 seconds for the tool's lights to come on.

  • Turn off the ignition. Remove the reset tool from the Audi Q7.
