Pacifica Taillight Removal

The Chrysler Pacifica is a five-door mid size SUV with a V6 engine. The taillights on this vehicle are accessible through the rear door and are located on the right and left side of the trunk frame. All three light bulbs are powered by a wire harness on the rear of all three of them. The taillight cover on the outside of the Pacifica is secured to the frame from inside the trunk as well.

Things You'll Need

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Open the rear door by lifting up on the handle and pulling up on the door. Sit down in the back of the Pacifica so that you are facing outward.

  • Lean over to the right side and pull the cover off of the taillight housing. Pull the wire harness off of each taillight.

  • Pull back on the locking tabs to release them and pull the light sockets off of the frame. Remove the screws that are securing the plastic frame around the light sockets to the frame of the Pacifica, using the screwdriver.

  • Remove the four screws that are securing the taillight lens to the frame, using the screwdriver. Get out of the trunk and pull the taillight lens off of the frame of the Pacifica. Repeat these steps for the opposite-side taillight.
